Devils Claw

Devils Claw derives its' name from the miniature grappling hooks that surround the fruit of this plant. However it is the secondary tubers that contain the active principles that have been used by herbalists. Growing in the Kalahari Desert of southern Africa, in Namibia and the Island of Madagascar the Devils Claw is used for digestive problems and the Discomfort and soreness of rheumatism and arthritis.

(1992) researchers found a dose dependent analgesic effect, this effect was described as definite.
